The Red Clay Ranch herd grazing among the trees

Is it mid-May already? Time is flying, and summer is upon us.

We have had three events over the last five weeks, and it has been good to meet so many new friends. We love visitors and would love to show you the rescue and introduce you to the horses anytime you are available. Summer is the perfect time for a tour and a picnic on the grounds.

Thank you for all you do for the horses.

Pserendipity “Sarah”

Sarah is a stunning Arabian who originally came to RCR after being deemed unsuitable for breeding due to a club foot. While her condition does not prevent her from being a wonderful riding horse, Sarah also lives with a habit called cribbing, which requires thoughtful care and management. Today, she lives freely in her pasture with good friends, eats well, maintains her weight, and continues to be deeply loved at Red Clay Rescue.

Hay, Hay, Baby!

Georgia’s hay supply has become more difficult and expensive due to dry weather, higher fuel costs, and limited availability. With nearly 80 horses to feed, even small increases add up quickly — and every gift helps keep the horses fed and protected.
