Her Story

A Life of Gentle Care

Aimee is a gorgeous Tennessee Walking Horse who came to Red Clay Ranch after suffering from the cruel practice of soring. This painful practice is used to intentionally make a horse's front hooves sore in order to create the exaggerated prancing gait Tennessee Walking Horses are known for.

Because of what she endured, Aimee's hooves are permanently damaged. She requires soft soil and grass under her feet, along with consistent hoof care to keep her comfortable.

Now in her 20s, Aimee has found safety, compassion, and a permanent home at Red Clay Ranch. She will live out the rest of her life at RCR, surrounded by the care and kindness she always deserved.
