His Story

Comfort and Care Through Every Season

Red came to Red Clay Ranch after a call from the local sheriff's department. He had been living in a very small paddock in deeply unsanitary conditions, after losing his pasture mate during a hot Georgia summer. Red was seized that evening and brought to the ranch, where he could finally receive the safety and care he needed.

Because of arthritis in his front legs, Red is not able to be ridden. He has now been a resident of Red Clay Ranch for more than a decade and continues to do well.

Winter can be especially difficult on his joints, but with simple medication and attentive care, Red remains comfortable and supported throughout the year. At Red Clay Ranch, he has the peaceful sanctuary and lifelong care he deserves.
